When the iPod first hit the market only die-hard Apple fans bought it. Today, however, iPods are ubiquitous. Your family have their iPods and your friends even yourself own more than one iPod.
Click iTune menu "Edit->Perferences", Click "device" select the "Disable automatic syncing for iPhone and iPods" options:
Close iTunes. Run iPodAid: iPod To Computer Transfer Pro. Select all songs and click "Transfer To Folder And Sync iTunes" button. Wait until all music from your iPod have been transferred, you will see a playlist name after your ipod in itunes.
In iTunes, click ipod icon at the bottom left of the window. Make sure that the "manually manage music" option is checked. This will prevent iTunes from adding all songs to each iPod.
Plug each iPod in and go to the "music" tab of the iPod window. There, choose the button reading "selected playlists" and then check off the playlist for each iPod.
This way, everyone can be sure that they only get the music they want. When new songs are added to the computer, be sure to add them to the correct playlist.
